Full name:Kristen Carroll Wiig.

She was born on August 22, 1973, in Canandaigua, New York, USA.

She is of Norwegian, Irish, English, and Scottish descent.

Her paternal grandfather, Gunnar Wiig, emigrated from Norway to the US as a child.

She has an older brother named Erik.

She moved with her family to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at the age of three, and later to Rochester, New York.
