The action criminal thriller series revolves around Akhandanand Tripathi, also known as Kaleen Bhaiya, who is the fictional ruler of Mirzapur in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. In contrast to his rich and influential father Tripathi, who earns his wealth through exporting carpets, his son Munna is an unappreciative and ambitious inheritor who is willing to do anything to continue his father's legacy. At a wedding procession, he encounters the esteemed lawyer Ramakant Pandit and his sons Bablu and Guddu when an incident takes place. It quickly turns into a game of ambition, power, and greed. The Tripathis' reign in Purvanchal concludes in Season 3.
